Throughout this pregnancy I have made mile markers. We're not talking about how many weeks but actual events. And I would tell myself when you hit that day you're cruising. It's just made the time pass quickly to have smaller goals instead of the big 9 months to look forward to.
For example... we found out I was prego the end of March. So my mile markers have been these...
My birthday (Beginning of May)
4th of July
Labor Day
after Labor Day my next looking forward to mark was when the 3 women I knew all had their babies within a week in the middle of Oct. Niki, a woman from work's daughter (I talk to this woman daily about pregnany which is why it was so easy to pick this even) & my sis-in-law Emily. Well it happened all 3 of those babies have been born!
What's the next mile marker you ask?
Dec 3rd... my actual due date. I thought about throwing Thanksgiving up there but 6 weeks is nothing. I can't believe how close it's getting!
David & I went and played "Putt Putt" as they call minigolf here in Texas on Friday night. We had so much fun. There was one hole that had two diff levels, so you had to aim for one of the two holes on top and it would shoot you down to the lower green. Well David & I being as clever as we are always put our balls down 1st to test which whole is best. So I put mine down and find that it's really far away... as I'm waiting on the lower green to see where David comes out I realize it's not coming. The ball got stuck! So David sticks his club down there hoping to push it out. Well as he leans over... from his top pocket (he's still wearing his scrubs) falls our keys right down the hole. Classic. A moment of panick hit us both. I would have fallen down laughing if I didn't have to pee so bad. Thank goodness his club was in there b/c he barely stopped the keys from going all the way down the hole to an unreachable spot. So he pulled out the keys and then his ball came flying out. What a great night. We tied by the way; which is why I'm not bragging. Although I do beat him on Monkey Golf on the Gamecube almost everytime we play.
