And we still have a week left!

Vacation is a BEAUTIFUL thing when you both don't have a "real" job. It lasts forever! We went to David's little brother's wedding in Utah first and it was amazing. I don't have any pictures but I'll steal some from facebook when they post some later. Then we headed with my parents and Abbey to Disneyland!
My parents brought their own car and let the rest of us Mandy, Jason, Abbey, David, Me & the two babies (Ashton & Kimball) use my mom's car from Vegas to Anaheim. It was quite the road trip. On the way down David was saying he was a "Disney Virgin" because he hasn't been since he could really remember. And then Mandy responded that if David is a Disney Virgin her daughter Kimball (who is just 9 months old) must be a Disney Slut because she's already been 7 times.

So to break David in... we made him sit in front on Splash Mountain. If you click on this picture you'll see that he doesn't have one dry spot on his clothes. Bad lighting... so sorry.

So our first day in Disney was 92 plus degrees outside. So my Dad borrowed some of the baby sunblock and started to apply. Except he used WAY too much and walked into the park with basically a white face. I don't know if you can see it... try blow it up too to understand what I mean.
And my Mom did Disney the right way with an electric scooter. She recently had a knee replacement so they spent the 55 bucks to rent a chair. All the babies loved cruising around with her!
And we all took turns riding the chair around. That's me in California Adventures.

Here we are on California Screamin.

And in the Bugs Land.

Here is Ashton and Kimball.

The 2nd day we were in the park the high was only 78. So when we got their in the morning I realized I had no socks and nothing warm for Ashton. I was lucky I brought one pair of long pants. I ran to the bathroom at the beginning of the day and by the time I got back Ashton had a new Mickey Mouse jacket.

I highly recommend under dressing your kids so the grandparents feel obligated to keep them warm! How cute is he? I don't know where we are here... I just like Ashton's hat!
And now we have a couple days lay over at Mandy and Jasons before we head back up to my parents' for Memorial Day weekend. Last night we put them the kids in the bath together. Kimball kept splashing Ashton and he just kept laughing thinking it was so funny.

You can't lose ending a post with naked babies!

6 Weeks Post Op

This is Ashton & his pediatric plastic surgeon, Dr. Fearon. I really can't think of words that would suffice to clearly express my gratitude to this man. He is one of the most kind and caring individuals I've ever met. I asked him today if he has just become accustomed to changing peoples' lives on a daily basis. And he seemed so humbled that I thought of his work as life changing. He replied with, "I do the very best I can for every child I see and I try not to think about it more than that." I'm actually grateful that we get to go back and see him in 1, 5, & 10 years so I don't lose contact with this extraordinary man.
By choice I'd never want to go through the surgery process again. But if I had to, I don't think I'd be scared or stressed because no matter where in the world we are we'd fly back to Dallas to see this man. Anyway, he said Ashton's head looks great and everything is healing perfectly!

Some recent favorites

Ashton helped me open some presents. Who knew that the box would be the same size as his head?
He loved standing in the sink. I have a backside shot of him... but it would probably gross everyone out. Just know that there is only one reason I do not love the bumbo seat mainly because Ashton thinks it's a little potty.

Aww my 2 favorite boys. David was babysitting. About 5 seconds after I took this picture he got kicked in the jimmy. You think he would have seen it comming, I sure did.

He has a love hate relationship with the little yellow bear. He is either chewing on his or talking rather loudly at him. It's hilarious.
But this video is really for my mom. Everytime I talk to her on the phone Ashton is doing this in the background so I thought I'd tape it for her. It's a couple weeks old though; his sounds have since moved on to the "bhaaa bhaa bhaa" in the last week. He's definitely a little extrovert. He had his first kiss on Sunday from a little girl sitting on the pew behind us.
