This is serious karma...

This is yours truly.Out of all 8 kids my mom only got thrush with me.
And here is my baby boy with his genetian vioilet meds treating his thrush.
I deserved this.
If you have no idea what thrush is, thank your lucky stars.

It's 2 in the morning and I'm updating my blog...

am I sick or what?

David has been out of school since July 11th so we've both been home all day. It's the best. We've been home from Utah for a week now and are just about the 2 laziest people you have ever met. We decided to start watching Lost on abc.com starting from season 1. Basically during all of Ashton's naps and when he goes to bed at 7 we are in bed watching Lost b/c the computer is in our bedroom. We even bought a wireless mouse for the sole purpose of not having to get up after the commercials to click contine. We're acting like crazed college students because we've been staying up until 2am to watch "just 1 more episode" that turns into 3 hours of fun. Anyway, tonight it finally hit me that I can't live on 5 hours of sleep so I crashed at 8pm only to wake up at midnight. So David took pity on me and we watched another episode and a half. Now he is passed out and I am up trying to kill time until I am tired again. Ohh the irony of it all.

Anyway, it's been so nice having him home and I'll have him all to myself for almost another month! This summer has been one of the only redeeming things about dental school.

I haven't uploaded any new pictures so I'll give a quick update on Ashton or as we like to call him "the bug".

*He is not yet really crawling but his army crawl is fast enough to get him out of our line of site in a matter of seconds.
*He still has a CRAZY love for water. He can spot a water bottle from 30 feet away.
*He chews on EVERYTHING still only has his bottom 2 teeth.
*If I start singing to him he'll make a loud "baaa baaa" and try to drown me out. It's amazing that he already knows I'm tone deaf. You might try to tell me he's singing with me but I know better.

Until my next 2am 2:30am update...

Warning: Picture Overload Below

Well it's the 4th of July and that only means one thing: Family Reunion in Midway.
It was a GREAT weekend with lots of laughs. I love the 4th of July. My Dad had all the kids sing Happy Birthday to America. I'm grateful I grew up in a very patriotic family with parents who reminded me how blessed we are to live in a free country. And having Josh in Afghanistan over the 4th hit home for all of us. At church on Sunday the closing song was the Battle Hymn of the Republic. The verse that reads "As He died to make men holy, Let us live to make men free..." really made me proud of Josh.
Now onto the weekend:
Ashton was SO glad to be out of the airplane. I caught him army crawling out of our room.
Does this picture alone make you want to be an Ashton grandkid? Abe took all the kids up Memorial Hill in his little ranger. I still can't believe they all fit.

This is Ashton and his newest baby cousin Owen look at the kid's feet! Everyone calls them skiis. What a difference 7 months makes huh?? Ashton looks HUGE!

There are all the girls in the family who had babies within a year of eachother. All 6 of us. The funny thing is Mandy is 6 months pregnant!!

This was too funny not to post. This is my nephew Will. Don't you love it, Kara?
This is only HALF of my parent's backyard. Paired with Utah weather this place is heavenly!
The 4 sisters and Mom!
We were taking pictures of the grandkids in a row and all the cows started to line up against the fence behind them in a row too. They were ready for their closeup apparently.
And here is the family picture. In the matching shirts that say "Ashton -08". As soon as Ashton can read I'm sure he'll be very impressed that everyone is actually wearing his name.
Here are the 19 grandkids. Notice some of the babies are holding on for dear life.
And last but not least TODAY is our 2 year anniversary. I don't know what I ever did without David.
