The winner will recieve 2 gift cards from my wallet. Each I'm pretty sure have about $4.50 on them - sorry I need to clean out :) If you don't have gmail don't let that stop you from guessing post under anonymous but make sure to leave your name!
Some helpful hints: I'm officially due May 21st. My original due date was the 15th but I was measuring small so I got bumped back. Also, Ashton was 10 days early and weighed 7lbs 11 ounces.

Just awaitin'...
This pregnancy has flown by and I hope these next few weeks do as well. Here's what we've been up to while we've been waiting for Hannah.
Ashton keeps us entertained with his new obsession. Socks. If he sees any socks out he comes and sits on my lap and wants me to put them on even if they are David's. One night he went to bed with socks over his footed PJs because he wouldn't let us take them off.
A steal of a deal on craigs list! This little car comes with us everywhere these days. Sometimes we just let it sit in the living room and he will stay in there for 20 minutes at a time holding onto that steering wheel. A woman stopped me the first day we had it and said "Was that not your best investment ever?" It really has been the best $25 we've spent in '09.

Happiness is
...Ashton holding his binky out to me as soon as I walk in the room. As he knows that's the price to get out of the crib.
...when he plays cars at my feet in the kitchen while I make dinner.
...how he says "Daddin" instead of Daddy.
...when my phone rings in the afternoon and he says "Daddin" knowing it's probably David calling us to tell us he's on his way home.
...meeting David halfway while he's walking home from school. And when we sometimes bring fruitsnacks for a treat and he holds them so tight knowing that he can't eat them till David opens them for him.
...how he gets "no no" and "nose" confused. Sometimes he'll touch his nose when you say "no no".
...when he tries to put on his own socks over his footed PJs.
...the night we let him stay up late because he was so happy only to find that he disappeared into his room and came out with his binky and blankey to tell us he was ready for bed.
...when he does the itsy bitsy spider with his little fingers.
...the way he often lays his head on my big pregnant belly.
...him wanting to go sleep with his ball.
...when please comes out "ssssss".
...when he blows kisses.
Happiness is being parents! As time gets closer David & I keep talking about how we're really not sure we're ready to do this again. And usually while we're in the middle of that conversation Ashton comes up and does something that completely melts us or makes us laugh and we know immediately that we're blessed to be able to do it again!

Hoppy Easter!
Ashton suprisingly got the whole concept of finding easter eggs. At the ward party he put about 5 into his little bag and then decided that he would just hold onto the two in his hands and stop hunting. He did try to snatch a few from the older kids' baskets while they were distracted though.

And it wouldn't be Easter without the bunny cake. It was so much harder to try and get him to sit next to it this year we had to recruit Dad to come help.

34.5 weeks and counting....
I finally got David to take a belly shot. The first one was just of my belly he didn't really catch on to the idea. Ashton was not to thrilled about the idea but I needed something to make me look not as huge.
I'm definitely not ready for #2 but I don't think I'll ever be. Now the hard part is is figuring out when to tell my mom to come down to hopefully be here when I go into labor.
And in other news Ashton & Elsie went on their first official date. She ran her fingers through his hair and then got out of the car. Ashton on the other hand stayed in that car for almost an entire hour at the playplace at the mall. We're pretty certain he's going to need a blue convertible toddler bed.

The Zoo is a happy place...
Did I mention how much I LOVE the zoo? We've been twice this week and I still can't wait to go again. I get all giddy when we walk in the entrance and the music is playing singing "welcome to the Dallas zoo!"

We did things a little out of order and went to the stream first... so he had to go pantless for the last half of the day.
Watchin the monkeys.

That's my new (well, new for me) Maclaren double. I was glad we got to test drive it. I LOVE it.

A Year Ago Today...
We handed off a happy little 4.5 month old with a misshapen head.
And we got back a little swollen goblin baby.
With a scar that looked like this...
I wont post all the sad pictures I posted a year ago when he was REALLY swollen. Click here for the link to that blog entry. That link also has the amazing before and after results of the bird's eye view.
This year has flown by. David & I talked this morning about exactly what we were doing a year ago at that time. We are so grateful that all went well with the surgery and you would never know he has even had surgery. I'm on my laptop or I would post a cute picture of him from today. Let's hear it for being 1 year post-op!
