Spring Break 2018

 I still can't believe we made this trip just months before we were going to move. But hey, the house was still for sale and keeping it clean was so much easier if we were all out of it. So we loaded up the car super early one morning and drove the 14 hours to Mandy and Jason's house in Gilbert.

We arrived and the 13 cousins played and played!

Then we headed to St. George for a fun week with Nana and Papa!

More cousins came in town for my parents official homecoming and we celebrated my Dad's birthday.

Every time we're in St. George we take the kids to the temple and visitor's center. I hope we never stop taking pictures on these steps. These kiddos handled all the traveling in stride. David managed to drive up with me, fly home and then fly back into Phoenix to meet me on the way home to take me back. Gotta love that guy!

Scotty Turns 4

Scotty turned 4 this year. He is officially in sunbeams and a head taller than everyone in his class. Considering he cried in Nursery for almost a solid year this is a huge win. He has huge blue puppy dog eyes when we leave him and it just about breaks my heart. A funny story from his 4 year old self is that I cut his hair a few weeks before his birthday. As usually happens it got a little shorter than I intended and when I was done he hopped up to get in the shower. When he got out of the shower and looked at his hair he immediately started crying and pulled at his hair and said, "Mom what did you do to me?" he cried over every time he looked in the mirror for the next three days. It cracked me up.

He spent most of his actual birthday at Ashton's robotics competition but he was thrilled to run through halls.

He and Rachel are 17.5 months apart and either best buds or the worst enemies. Here was a day where they were particularly cute without prompting.

Scotty is such a fun kid. Loves his friends and his plasma car. He loves his nerf bow and arrow and playing basketball. He shares a room with Ashton and for a 4 year old brother does an amazing job at leaving Ashton's legos alone and respecting his space. He was a slow talker so it's so fun to hear him totally verbal and telling us exactly what he thinks. Happy Birthday Scotty boy!!
