We had a bucket list going for our last little while in Minnesota. Things we wanted to do and see before we left and then covid started to shut things down. We hit up Mall of America and Nelsons one more time before things got shut down. Heading up North to go see Lake Superior was on our list. So one June day we packed up all the kids drove for 2 hours. All the public beaches were packed so we pulled off the side of the road and found the beautiful little rocky beach we hiked down to and had the whole shore to ourselves. The water was way too cold to actually swim but the kids loved playing on the beach and finding rocks. We lasted for several hours before Sophie needed a nap. It was still such a weird time having to stop at gas stations and let the kids use the bathrooms in shifts wearing masks because we didn't bring enough. The pictures don't do justice to how gorgeous Lake Superior was. It really did feel like an ocean because you could just barely see the other side.

Boating
My favorite friend Harmony took the kids and I out on the boat with her family while David was at work. The kids loved it and Sophie especially loved the wind in her hair. The best part was at the end of the day Harmony and I decided to go tubing and we had the best time standing up on the tube pretending we were awesome!

First Day/ Last Day
Who knew way back in September what the end of the school year would look like! Homeschool went okay for them and me and their teachers were fantastic all the way through. Dropping by our home and standing 6 feet apart so the kids still felt connected. I have said it a million times but one of the hardest things about leaving MN will be leaving these schools. We have seen what proper funding looks like and these kids thrived!!
