Our nearest grocery store is about 3 miles away and it's an Albertson's. To get to the grocery store that is cheaper it's about 7-8 miles away. But, today David & I went to the Farmer's Market. It
CHANGED MY LIFE. Yes, this is what it is really like. The picture doesn't feature the vendors begging you to sample their fruits. We had almost a complete breakfast of FREE fruit.
Good thing we're going out of town in 4 days or we would have spent a lot more.

This was our loot. We got it all for $18.00. And I'm pretty sure we only spent about $.50 on gas getting there.
So this is a shout out to all you Dallas Folks. Why aren't you going to the Farmer's Market? And if you have been - WHY HAVEN'T YOU TOLD US ABOUT IT?
I can't believe we've lived downtown for 2 years and this is the first time we've been. I'm resting calmly that we'll be able to take advantage of this for another blessed 2 years. YUM.
Now I'm off to eat my waffles with fresh strawberries!

Oh my gosh! If fresh fruit and vegetables actually looked like that here...maybe I would eat them. Brandon hates Walmart and refuses to shop there anymore so I will have to see if there is a farmer's market here.
Yum. Oh man does that stuff look good. Okay so you are never going to believe who I ran into at a wedding reception. Think back to our swim camp days at BYU. It was our camp leader Sara. She was the photographer at the wedding. Neat huh?
Sammy welcome to England I seriously couldn't walk home without passing some kind of fruit vendor. I absolutely loved it.
They do have an amazing farmers market. It reminds me of the guy on Gilmore Girls who tried to be the town troubadour started to sell fresh fruit and veggies across from Dosey's Market and it made Taylor mad. It looked yummy. Oh, and sorry that you didn't know about it forever. I've even been there.
Yum! There's a farmer's market in downtown Henderson each week, and also some that are way too far across town, but I never make it over there to check it out! Although, I enjoy going to Trader Joe's since they have really good produce, at least compared to regular grocery stores and not the delicious looking fruit you just bought.
You are PRO blogger!!!! I love to read your blog!

OOOHHH I miss the farmers market in Monterey! It looks so fabulous!
Looks like fun. Good fresh produce is the best!!! I wonder if we have a farmer's market in Vegas?
BYE SAMMY I AM GOING TO MISS YOU GUYS. Oh I got a little choked up when we were leaving today. Have fun and don't forget about me!!
I can't believe you've never been there! You're so close. I used to do a co-op with my friends in the Dallas 1st ward. We'd take turns going down there on Saturdays and then we'd divide the goods and be on our merry way. I guess it became too much work for everyone because it eventually dissolved. Enjoy your fruit!
Um HI. Where is the closest one to Vegas...i'm there. I want to reach through the computer and taste those rasberries.
