Glorious sleep. It's been awhile for me. Hannah is FINALLY sleeping through the night thanks to formula. After I found out I was pregnant I had fully intended on nursing Hannah through this pregnancy. Then around Christmas time it hit - I could not keep up with 2 babies. I was losing weight, I wasn't sleeping more than 3 hour stretches and my mom sent me home from Christmas telling me I looked emaciated and I needed to be eating steaks and hamburgers to keep up. There was no question though, being pregnant and nursing was kicking my butt.
Hannah wouldn't take a bottle not even a bottle of pumped milk... so after the new year I literally prayed that she would. And she DID! I planned on only giving her a bottle a couple of times a day and weaning her slowly. But once she got the hang of the bottle there was no going back for her she switched completely and nursed for 3 more days and she was done. At first I was sad (am I really writing about this on my blog?? David's going to die...) but then once she started sleeping longer streches, I got over it fast.

She loves the bottle and likes her alone time. She wont let us hold and feed her - she must be laid down. Mostly because she likes to practice her tricks...she can even do a no hand bottle hold.

And this little man destroys his room at naptime before he crashes but at night he's a champ and 99% of the time makes it to his bed.
Note to self: Get curtains and make his room pitch black for naptime so he can't see anything.
So now that we're all healthy and all getting 10+ hours of sleep at night I finally feel like a sane happy person again!

I hear you! When I got really sick I was so blessed that Maya, who previously wouldn't take a bottle, started taking one with no problem. I think kids are more perspective then we let on.
There is nothing better than a good nights rest, congrats! You better be eating those hamburgers and steaks:)
Yea for sleep! I'm glad you're getting more! We love you.
WOW! you are truly wonder woman! I cant imagine keeping up with two babies! you are a trooper! Nursing is tough and I had to supplement with formula about a month after hailyn was born- because she wasn't getting enough iron (I'm super anemic) and it was tough but it worked out well and she did great- and the longer stretches are awesome! and you need it! bless your heart! you are truly amazing!! hope you are feeling ok!
