The Zoo Keeper

Ashton use to want all his blue blankets in his crib. Now that he can get out of bed somehow all the animals are snuggled up to him by morning. What you don't see are the 3 or 4 hidden animals beneath him and the blanket. And yes, I know, the binky has got to go. HELP! Do we just do it cold turkey?

Be careful of hoarding tendencies. He might be on TV show one day :)

My friend just went through the binky thing...you should read her blog to find out what she did. http://gregandersenfamily.blogspot.com/ Don't know if it's private.

No advice for the binky there, maggie is still sucking the thumb...sigh. She'll be five this year. So you need to put up pics of your new place.

I love all his friends keeping him company. Hey...I only had 2 binky kids, but I cut the tip off and it won't suck that way. I think Jonah brought it to me and we said it was broken and he threw it away and that was that! Good luck :)

An idea I saw in this magazine was to take all the binkies with your kid and dig a hole outside and bury the binkies with them to grow a "binky tree/plant/flower"! Then while they are sleeping that night go out and plant a little potted tree/plant/flower so when they wake up they can see it. Then anytime they want it you show them the tree where all the binkies went! I thought it was super cute, not sure if it works though, haven't heard either way. GOOD LUCK! also on my biggest loser thing, FOR SURE we'll do one after you have your baby! It'll be a blast!

my kids never did the binky thing, even though i wished they did.
I have heard a few things others have done. yucky flavoring on the binky, also arranging to go buy something for a big kid at the store with binki's as payment. (They give them to the cashier and all )
oh and slowly cutting the tips further in.

miss ya.

Bindi LOVED her Binky like Crack addicts like their crack. I started by only letting her have hers during nap time and bed time and when she would fall asleep I would go in and take it so it was gone when she got up. Because if I didn't she would sit in there forever just to keep it. Then I set a day and decided that was D day and as of that day there would be no more binkies. I cut the tip off one of them and she would say it was broken so I let her put it in the garbage. then when I put her down for a nap and she would cry for it I would tell her it was broken and hand her her favorite stuffed animal... I see Ashton has a few of those lol. She cried for about 15 minutes at nap time and bed time for about 2 days and then got over it. I also would make sure to run her ragged before putting her down so she wouldn't have to much energy to fight it. Lol it was a sad day for me, but I am glad its done now. good luck!
