but I guess it always does.
David didn't have school so we split the kids today. He stayed at home with Hannah and I took Ashton with me. He got to come to my 24 week midwife appointment. He knows my midwife from Hannah's pregnancy b/c she used to come over to our house but now that she has an office he hasn't been to see her once this pregnancy. It was cute to see that he remembered her and didn't act shy like he usually does around new people. After she listened to the baby's heartbeat Ashton lifted up his shirt and asked to listen to his baby so she put the doppler on his heart. It was so sweet to see his little eyes light up as he heard the thump thump. He came home today still talking about his baby's heartbeat. Then I took him to Costco where he chatted and sang the whole way. It was so nice to have him alone for a few hours - he's turning into such a little person and he's so much fun.
Little Hannah is still tiny although she broke the 16lb mark! Who knew it would take so long - I mean Ashton was there at 5 months. She has a shiner right now b/c she lost her balance while cruising along the step in front of the fireplace today. I'll have to take a picture. And mom you'll be so proud, she's finally drinking out of the new sippy you got her. You see, we called her sippy cup challenged for the last 2 months. The girl just didn't get it - finally after 5 different kinds of sippy cups she finally figured out how to suck... although she still isn't sure how to tilt it up on her own. I still think strapping it to the wall at an angle is an option like in a gerbil cage.
This pregnancy is like the other 2 super easy and no complaints. Although the pregnancy moments are coming more often than not. Like when I left our master bath sink going full blast after I took my contacts out in the middle of a movie. Needless to say I felt like an idiot when we went to go to bed 3 hours later and I realized I had done that. Or how I've ran the dryer numerous times without clothes in there. But as I always say - if those are my biggest pregnancy problems I consider life just perfect.
PS I'm doing a giveaway on my vinyl blog so head on over to enter.

Ashton's postcard to Papa 4/15/10
Thank you for sending Nana down to play with me. We've had the best week ever. She does everything with me. We've been to the park where she swings me and comes down the slide with me even on her bad knee. She gives me any color of skittle I ask for when I go potty. If I say please long enough at the store I can leave with a truck or a new car everytime. Thank you for saying yes on the phone to my new tractor while we were at Costco today. I sent you a picture of me playing with it. Nana even let me take it into my bed with the new hard hat for nap time. Don't tell her but I stayed up and played the whole time. It's so much fun to dig in the dirt and Nana sits in the backyard with me for hours while I play. But the best part of her being here is she even sleeps over in my room. I get to wake up and snuggle on the balloon bed (airmatress) with her every morning. I know you miss her. I will let Nana go home tomorrow only because I know with our summer vacation after Daddy's school ends, 4th of July & the new baby we will see you every month for the rest of the summer. We miss you Papa. Promise to drive me in Daisy as soon as we get to Midway? Love you.
-Ashbug
P.S. I told Nana you'd do the strawberry dance for her when she gets off the plane.

Popcorn and Dinos
So a few weeks ago we realized Ashton has started saying Dinos with an english accent. Turn up your speakers so you can hear it - it's so random and funny.

I would post...
something new or exciting but I'm basically obsessed with the quiet book I'm working on for the kids. I'm about half way done. This is what I've done so far. A lot still needs to actually be sewn down. And I'm missing a shoelace for that poor little shoe. Don't tell David but he may find this winter that one of his shoelaces is missing.
It's also times like these that I'm so grateful I'm not a perfectionist. Some things just have to get done whether or not they came out exactly how I had envisioned.
But in a nut shell basically everything comes off or moves. The brown garage holds a little car to ride the road. The mailbox opens and can hold a letter and the flag goes up and down. The gumballs come on and off. The rocket goes up on the string. The apples come off and go in the basket. The train chugs up the mountain. The counting beads can move from side to side.
Can you see why I'm losing sleep thinking about the other pages I want to do - I can't wait for Ashton to actually see this on Sundays and ONLY Sundays during Sacrament meeting.... and I suppose if it works we'll bring it on the plane with us this summer.
