Where or where will we be...

in the fall. Our next location seems to be a constant discussion for everyone. We'll owe the army three years after we're done with school and we wont find out where we'll be stationed until the end of March. It's getting kind of crazy living in limbo... kind of like not finding out what gender your baby is (did I mention I wasn't such a fan of waiting for the suprise?). Anyway, we've put in our top spots 2 in Cali to be close to family and 1 in Virginia. Will we get one of those spots? I'm not counting on it... but if we can't bank on where we'll go for the army we can dream about where we'll live post army.

And while we were at my parents over New Years David and I discussed it a lot. Would we miss out west if we moved to a small town on the east coast (think Gilmore Girls)? My parents tried to convince us that Midway would be an ideal location after we do three years on a base. And mother nature only helped their argument. We woke up to snow and frosted trees every morning...

and one morning I walked through the kitchen and saw this enormous elk hanging out in the backyard.
My mom and I sat and watched it for 20 minutes... we felt like it was straight out of National Geographic. Ashton asked if he could go out and play with the reindeer over a dozen times. My Dad who is the opposite of a techy even told me I should put this picture on my blog. That's a big deal coming from a man who I'm sure hasn't touched an actual keyboard ever. All of his websites were bookmarked for him, he can play games, click on emails (only to be answered with a phone call or my mom) and check his kids' blogs all from the click of a mouse.
If only UT weren't completely oversaturated with dentists... Midway might make it on our short list.

Do you know where you will be in Virginia? Wanna come live near us? I could use a familiar face around here...

wow! that is absolutely beautiful! I miss the snow and how pretty it makes things. Brandon and I are in the same boat right now with the moving factor. We will either be in Texas, arizona, Utah, Oregon or here it just all depends, kinda scary. Good luck to you guys!!

Can I just say that we love Colorado. It has four seasons, a view of the mountains and is only a day's drive from family (Utah)!

NOT IN BARSTOW! I did eventually cry that night when I told Pete... I must be hormonal or something.
