Mallie is our only baby to get a bottle past 12 months... we're getting more and more content with letting our kids do their thing as long as we all stay happy and don't feel like they're too spoiled. We've been putting her down with a bottle full of water at night and naps because she is our only non-binky baby and we felt bad she had no "soother". Then in the morning we've discovered if we fill her little belly with some milk in her bed she sucks herself right back to sleep for another hour. I'm convinced I'm rotting her teeth AND I'm tired of washing bottles so we're breaking her this week.
Tonight she laid down and fell asleep with out a fight. How many times will it take me to remember that what I sometimes think are their needs are actually my own security blankets? Turns out she didn't care much for the bottle. I guess the other (and more important) milestone should be posted that she learned to walk as soon as we moved here. She's basically running right now. And this morning she climbed up the stairs with the keyboard that is taller (and maybe heavier) than she is.
These 3 little people sleep from 7:15-7:15 every single night. They are awesome. They rarely fight bed time and rarely wake up before 7. Today they graced my bedroom door at 6:55am and I was shocked and all out of sorts. So I set them on the couch and took a picture. Kind of a monumental day anyway since this was Mallie's first morning out of the crib on her first cry instead of being coaxed back to sleep with some milk right away. Here she is joining the older 2 with her sippy cup without chocolate for now (thank goodness).
