Thank Heavens for little Girls

"Dear Heavenly Father. Thank you for the sun because it made the grass sparkly." ~ Hannah's prayer last night after seeing the frosted grass on the way home from church.

My dear sweet Hannah. A year ago several people trid to tell me she needed some form of occupational therapy for a "sensory disorder". I told everyone she was 2 and to leave her alone. Yes, she did yell at almost everyone she came in contact with. She hate, hate, hated when strangers tried to talk to her. She walked on her tip toes all the time (still does). She had serious issues with trying to be happy and consequently I had the same issues. The 2s were trying for both of us. She was hard. Well, I'm happy to report that at 3.5 she has mellowed big time. She loves people and chats up anyone that will give her the time of day. 3 has to be one of my favorite ages so far. They're not too smart for their own good and they put together coherent thoughts that are hilarious. She brings all things girly to our house. And I kid you not she keeps asking when she can get married. When you ask her why she tells you it's because she really wants a diamond ring. No joke. She is still an emotional little thing but these days the positive sympathetic emotion outweighs the "my life is over" meltdowns.
Oh my Hannah girl, I'm so so glad this day has finally come.
